Dr. Brian Sica

Banks School District Superintendent

Dr. Brian Sica joined the Banks community in the Summer of 2022 to begin his 22nd year in public education. Dr. Sica began his career as a chemistry teacher and athletic coach in Shelley, Idaho before moving with his family to Western Oregon. In Oregon he resumed his teaching career and became an administrator in both the Hillsboro and Beaverton School Districts.

Dr. Sica believes in organizing our district around the Brave Experience. He appreciates the partnership with the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde that helps us describe what it means to be “Banks Brave.” He believes that the schools should focus on the Student, Staff, and Community Experiences while also attending to our facility and financial responsibilities. He believes that together, we can “engage, challenge, and prepare every student to realize their potential in learning and life.”
